Spirit Woman with Wolf & Eagle
This beautiful carving of fossil ivory has a silver spiral, 3 tiny flowers and a silver bail at the top. An Iolite cabachon mounted in silver finishes off this beautiful pendant.
The carving shows a Spirit Woman with flowing hair.
A Wolf above her head and an Eagle with wings at the bottom.
For hundreds of years fossil ivory has been recovered from remote areas of Alaska, Northern China and Siberia. Currently the largest source of Mammoth ivory is the Taymir region of central northern Siberia, where the ivory can be recovered from the permafrost for a few months a year.
Fine carving by the Inuits !!!

Best quality Larimar. Beautiful deep turquoise-blue with white, with a silver bezel at the top for a chain.Both sides are carved. Chatoyant.
