Calcite Sceptre

This highly unusual Calcite Sceptre is brownish-red. When held to the light, it is transluscent but with a more opaque and darker "Phantom" pointed-shape within. A transluscent colourless Calcite has enfolded itself perfectly around the central point.
This has many flat terminations that are also apexed to a point.

Cactus Quartz

A cluster of dark Amethyst 'Spirit Quartz' from South africa.
The top of the cluster shows the drusy mass of smaller crystal formation with the larger crystal formations that make this type of quartz quite unique.
Turn this cluster over and the way this type of quartz forms can be easily seen.
White, opaque quartz forms the core whilst the Amethyst druse and crystals grow over and around it.
Much of the underside has self-healed and shows multiple fine terminations.
Dark orange staining shows the presence of iron that gives the Amethyst its darker colour.
Beautiful colour, good formations make this cluster a lovely example of this type of quartz.
It has high energy and presence !

Herkimer Diamond

A form of quartz which crystallises as short, stubby double terminated crystals. They are clear with the larger ones often having inclusions.
This Herkimer formation is 2 crystals, a smaller penetrating the larger with both showing the typical DT and stubby formations.
Some break off and attachment marks. Internal fractures giving 'Rainbows' and some orange staining and iron present. Self healing present.
Clear and sparkly this is great size and shape.
